Bug Description

ProblemType: Bug
DistroRelease: Ubuntu 12.10 alpha3(20120724.3)

Steps to reproduce:
1. After installing the quantal aternate amd64 iso to a VM with choosing the Simple Chinese as the installation language, login the system.
2. Click on the displayed time on the notification area, you will find there are some garbled character in the popup date&time window, and the "SUN, MON, TUE, WED, THU, FRI, SAT" is not displayed in the right way.
3. Please refer to the attached picture for detail.

Looks like each is being displayed as "h(null)", overlapping.

Victor: I'm not seeing this on today's quantal alternate installation, which I did as instructed in simplified Chinese. Screenshot attached. I also tried on my other quantal installation, switching to Chinese.

I just tried with the latest build(quantal-alternate-amd64.iso build:20120812), this problem still exists, please refer to the attached picture. Make sure you choose Aisa/shanghai when selecting region/area during the installation

due to we stopped releasing quantal alternate isos, I wonder if we still need to work on this bug .

yes, it only happened in quantal alternate iso.

lets just close it then. The issue may as well have appeared due to missing language packs, or some other dep which are installed fine on the desktop cd.
