Bug Description

1) Xubuntu 12.10 i386 daily build 15 September 2012, 05:05
2) xorg 1:7.7+1ubuntu3
3) A boot splash screen is expected before the login screen
4) Blank screen No boot splash, I counted 4 screen changes before the login screen. I would expect this as normal if this as normal had it been a Nvidia card but it was an AMD card. The card in question was ATI Radeon R350 (Radeon 9800 Pro).

No this system has not been upgraded to full version of 12.10. Right before
12.10 release date both of my hard drives failed. What do you recommend at
this point?
