Bug Description

[Impact]

 * Overlay scrollbars are broken, and focus gets stuck in one of the panes

 * The fix needs to be backported because in the current state, transgui is unusable.

 * The fix includes an upstream vcs commit which adds some checks that effectively disables overlay scrollbars

[Test Case]

 * Install transgui and try to use it, see that the scrollbars won't work, and that focus will get stuck

[Regression Potential]

 * Regressions are unlikely as all this does is disable the overlay scrollbars. It's unlikely to affect other packages as transgui is a frontend, and it has no revdeps.

 * The newer upstream release has been tested by me since release, and the patched version seems to work fine on my computer.

[Original description]

It seems that the problem reported as Bug #865410 reappeared in quantal. Right after start of the app, the UI works as it should, but after a few clicks, wherever in the window I click a mouse button, or regardless of how many times I hit the TAB key, the clicks and keypresses end up in just one pane of the window (usually "torrent details" pane) and no operation that needs a click in another pane, including menu, can be performed.

Note that the package uses overlay scrollbars now; last time disabling the overlay scrollbars alleviated the problem.

Happens under Unity and Cinnamon.

installed transgui_4.1-1_amd64.deb replacing the Ubuntu version, seems to work, scrollbars are "traditional" (i.e. not overlay).
(While I am not a fan of overlay scrollbars, I'd prefer them enabled, so the look of the app is consistent with the rest of the desktop...)

I'll try to get the newer version imported to quantal. I don't really care for the overlay scrollbars, they're ugly and decreases usability. I'f you want them back (I believe Yuri disabled the intentionally), I'd recommend filing an upstream bug. I just noticed almost none of the apps I use have them enabled..
