Under 12.04 LTS running Unity, the keyboard switching keys worked in pairs: control+
But 12.10 Unity does not work this way for all combinations: control+

In Raring, three diagonal directions work flawlessly every time: Down+Left, Down+Right, Up+Right.
Up+Left still fails every time.
