Bug Description

Binary package hint: ubiquity

Ubuntu 6.06 installation on hard drive connected by IDE-USB interface failed, giving this message:

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Could you try testing this with the development release of Ubuntu, the Hardy Heron, which you can learn more about at http://www.ubuntu.com/testing . Whether you test with Dapper or Hardy we'll need the log files that ubiquity tells you to attach. In this case they were - '/var/log/installer/syslog, /var/log/syslog, and /var/log/partman'. Thanks in advance.

I had similar problem. I installed it twice and still got the same error. I was running Ubuntu from USB/pendrive which I used to install on an external USB hard drive (IDE).
