Bug Description

First off, I am running usb-creator on Debian testing/unstable, I built the packages from bzr trunk (revision 412). Everything seems to be working except for the install_efi() method. Unless I modify that method to return early it always fails with the "Failed to install the EFI bootloader" error message.

The DVD images I download from cdimage.ubuntu.com contain the path

/EFI/BOOT/BOOTx64.EFI

This is also the path on the mounted USB stick after usb-creator finishes copying the files from the ISO.

In usbcreator/install.py the existence of this file is checked using a lowercase path. I gather that this check is failing, so it attempts to create the file. This then fails because the target filesystem is FAT32.

Same problem here.
Test case :
Ubuntu 13.10
usb-creator-common 0.2.50
ISO xubuntu-12.04.3-desktop-i386.iso
LANGUAGE=us-US usb-creator-gtk
=> Close after displaying "installing the EFI bootloader" without error
