Unable to Update

Bug Description

I had noticed the Update Manager sometimes "stops" before it asks my password to start the update process... I have to kill the process then and retry until I am asked the password properly and the update process can start. I have noticed today that, if I perform any task that requires my password and after that I call the Update Manager, it will start the update smoothly, without inquiring my password.

I am using Ubuntu in a new computer now and the problem is gone. I guess the
problem was related with lack of memory since my older computer has only 128
mega of RAM.
