However, System Settings > Network does work.

Tested on a live USB with today's daily build.

I originally thought it was related to clicking connect after entering the WEP password, but now I realise that it does not connect even on a non-password secured wireless network. Basically clicking connect does nothing. Workaround: Use System Settings > Network.

Resolved by upgrading to today's daily build.
