Bug Description

When installing both 64 bit and 32 bit Feisty Ubuntus on a 64bit dual-core and 32 bit computer, respectively, with the live CD. it takes FOREVER to manually edit the partitions. I install a new linux on these computers about every other day (cause of other bugs), and the Ubuntu Feisty CDs are the only ones that do this. For instance, I'll click the format button or mount a partition on /home, and it'll say "Rescanning Disks." or something like that. And it will take at least a minute. I have one SATA HD, and like I said, any other distro, including Ubuntu 6.06 will not do this.

I actually could be wrong about the 32 bit, as my memory is a little fuzzy having a somewhat stable Feisty running on there now, but it definitely happens with the 64 bit.
