Bug Description
Binary package hint: ubiquity
I am trying to install Ichthux Linux from the Live CD. It has actually crashed three times - the first time it wouldn't go beyond selecting the keyboard - the second and third times happened at the same point, in partitioning. The second time I told it to erase the entire disk, the third time I told it to resize partition 1 and use the freed space. Each time it stopped at exactly the same point - at 99% it sat there for several minutes and said "failed to create file system" then it continued and when building the ext3 it just stops at 14%. It looks like it's going... the bar is still "running" ... but nothing happens and eventually I just have to manually stop it.
Here is what the logfile generated:
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/usr/bin/
install(
File "/usr/bin/
ret = wizard.run()
File "/usr/lib/
self.
File "/usr/lib/
raise RuntimeError, ("Install failed with exit code %s\n%s" %
RuntimeError: Install failed with exit code 1
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/usr/share/

File "/usr/share/

File "/usr/lib/

raise DebconfError(
DebconfError: (30, 'progress bar cancelled')
Triaged to Incomplete. Not familiar with Ichthux Linux. A bad CD or one burned too quickly can cause random installation errors. Since error is not repeatable--the same error occurring at the same place each time, can't move to Confirmed yet.
