hyper-v: Unable to dump core for Ubuntu 14.04 virtual machines.

This bug is missing log files that will aid in diagnosing the problem. From a terminal window please run:

apport-collect 1317697

and then change the status of the bug to 'Confirmed'.

If, due to the nature of the issue you have encountered, you are unable to run this command, please add a comment stating that fact and change the bug status to 'Confirmed'.

Confirmed both of these are available in v3.16 final and thus already in Utopic.

For trusty the second of these has already hit the tree via stable. Submitting the other to kernel-team@ for review.

If verification is not done by 5 working days from today, this fix will be dropped from the source code, and this bug will be closed.

We've re-tested this on 14.04.1 and kernel panic and dump file creation is working as expected.
