Bug Description

mythbuntu-bare complains on trusty due to bugs not found during the python 2 to 3 conversion.

[Impact]
 * The mythbuntu-bare plugin crashes when saving the backup schedule
 * Mythbuntu does LTS only releases, so we should make sure this is fixed for the first LTS point release.

[Test Case]

 * Open MCC on a machine and select "Backup and Restore". Go though the steps to schedule a backup job and hit apply.

[Regression Potential]

 * This code is only used for mythbuntu-bare.

Hello Thomas, or anyone else affected,

Accepted mythbuntu-bare into trusty-proposed. The package will build now and be available at http://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mythbuntu-bare/2.6.1 in a few hours, and then in the -proposed repository.

Please help us by testing this new package. See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation how to enable and use -proposed. Your feedback will aid us getting this update out to other Ubuntu users.

If this package fixes the bug for you, please add a comment to this bug, mentioning the version of the package you tested, and change the tag from verification-needed to verification-done. If it does not fix the bug for you, please add a comment stating that, and change the tag to verification-failed. In either case, details of your testing will help us make a better decision.

Further information regarding the verification process can be found at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/QATeam/PerformingSRUVerification . Thank you in advance!

I've confirmed that while 2.6.1 does fix some of the issues, it leaves 1 issue unfixed (not setting time in the disabled state meaning that an error is thrown trying to generate a label). I have thus created 2.6.2 with that fixed and uploaded to trusty.

Mathew,

Is 2.6.1 was the broken version, is 2.6.2 not in trusty and utopic? Or
was there another issue with 2.6.2?
Thanks,

Thomas Mashos

Hey, I just rejected the upload. Can you fixup the changelog for trusty such that it doesn't have the utopic entry? It seems odd that it goes from 2.6.1->2.7->2.6.2.
Thanks

Chris,

I'll fix it, I agree that it seems odd that it does that, but it also
seems asinine that I have to do that when the only change between the
utopic version and the trust version is the changelog file (for the
required version bump). Why cant I just have the same version in both
trusty and utopic? I assume it's because of upgrades and such, in
which case, why don't we allow multiple distributions in the changelog
per debian policy 4.4
http://www.debian.org/doc/debian-policy/ch-source.html#s-dpkgchangelog

At this point though I suppose I'm just ranting at Debian now, as it
seems while it is in the debian policy to allow multiple distributions
in a changelog entry, not even their archive supports that.
Thanks,

Thomas Mashos

Thomas,
I'd ask in #ubuntu-devel or #ubuntu-archive if you have version questions; maybe there is an easier solution.

Accepted into trusty/proposed, please test version 2.6.3.
Thanks,
