GPM console - TouchPad lost sync at byte 1

Bug Description

Binary package hint: linux-image-2.6.22-10-generic

TouchPad at isa0060/serio4/input0 lost sync at byte 1. Therefore GPM can not be used at console. TouchPad and USB mouse are affected both.

It seems, that something is broken in the kernel:
