"update-manager -d" wants to replace totem-gstreamer by totem-xine

I guess the problem was this:

2007-09-27 02:31:00,701 DEBUG guessing 'xubuntu-desktop' as missing meta-pkg

I had a lot of XFce/Xubuntu packages installed (I had a look at Xubuntu somewhere in the past), and it seems like its guessing prioritised Xubuntu (totem-xine) over Ubuntu (totem-gstreamer).

This log file might give you some more evidence... (the other two files seem to be rather useless, but I can upload them too if you want).

BTW: after (re-)installing 'ubuntu-desktop' the upgrade went fine.
