In my case, before receiving this error:
installed Epson cx3600 gutenprint driver, but by mistake installed 32 bit version on 64 bit System. Received errors that my packages have unmet dependencies. I believe I solved the printer problem. But it can be related to the current update error.
and today, I played with tlp settings and didn't restart before trying to update.
