Adam: which window manager are you using? If it's compiz, are you using viewport or workspaces? Also, do you have a multihead setup?

I'm using Metacity.

I use an external monitor plugged into the VGA out port on my laptop. The laptop's built in screen is disabled via xorg.conf and is not used.

I had just installed avant-window-navigator and was setting up launchers for it, I had already setup a pidgin launcher, but did not have pidgin displayed on my desktop, the error occurred when I clicked on the gnome-panel icon for pidgin.

Running Compiz on a x86_64 hardy install as well.

I installed AWN, removed a Panel, and the gnome pane crashed. I clicked on "Report error.." and landed here...
