Bug Description

Lubuntu 16.04 LTS beta1
lxpanel 0.8.2-1ubuntu2

I have looked at Lubuntu 16.04 LTS beta1 and found a problem with the lxpanel height adjustment, important when using a vertical panel on the left or right side of the screen. I set up a small vertical panel on the right side of the screen with a window list applet for the purpose fo switching between windows. In Panel Preferences > Geometry > Size, the Height specification is best set as "dynamic" so that the panel is only as "tall" as needed to contain the window list entries.

But here is the problem: with the height of the vertical panel (top to bottom) set to dynamic, the panel height collapses vertically instead of dynamically adjusting to the number of window buttons in the list.

This dynamic setting worked correctly in Lubuntu 14.04 LTS, and it would be most appreciated if this setting functioned in Lubuntu 16.04 LTS.

To be clear of what my panel looks like, I attach a screen shot with the height set with the "percent" option at 30%. If I had used the preferred "dynamic" setting, it would have collapsed to the bottom and be unusable.

I'm afraid it will be not fixed before release of 16.04, too little time left.

The size problem seems to be in both directions (height and width). I have a vertical panel on the right of my screen with a height set to dynamic and a width set to 50px. Neither the height nor the width are correct.

I am running Lubuntu 15.10 with lxpanel version 0.8.1-1ubuntu2
