This is actually the wrong bug number for this issue (my fault) - it should be LP: #1509221.
At any rate, I have verified it - still boots fine, and there is no longer a numa traceback.

This was fixed in xenial with a non-upstream change; reopening for yakkety, where we hope to get a proper upstream fix merged.

This bug was nominated against a series that is no longer supported, ie yakkety. The bug task representing the yakkety nomination is being closed as Won't Fix.
