kpatch should output the kernel build in debug mode

Bug Description

Impact:
In debug mode, the kernel build doesn't appear to progress.

Test case:
Run kpatch-build in debug mode. When the kernel build starts, the output stops until the build completes.

Regression potential:
No, this is only a cosmetic change.

Updated patch, this one corrected the problem we discussed from the last one where a variable could be set outside of the program and have bad side-effects.
