Bug Description

[Impact]

  * No impact to end-users, but the autopkgtests for php-horde-activesync are currently failing in Xenial, which is blocking other packages.

  * The autopkgtest was fixed in the same was as with php-horde-db (in Debian).

[Test Case]
  * Check the autopkgtest for php-horde-activesync. It fails with "ERROR 1698 (28000): Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost'" without this fix.

[Regression Potential]
  * No change the to code itself, as installed on a user's system, so no chance of regression.

MySQL 5.7 no longer allows a non-root Unix user to login as MySQL root
if an empty root password was set.

Apologies, only php-horde-activesync needs an SRU for this to Xenial, the php-horde-db nomination can be ignored.

Accepted php-horde-activesync into xenial-proposed. The package will build now and be available at https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/php-horde-activesync/2.31.1-1ubuntu1.1 in a few hours, and then in the -proposed repository.

Please help us by testing this new package. See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation how to enable and use -proposed. Your feedback will aid us getting this update out to other Ubuntu users.
