Bug Description

Binary package hint: network-manager

This is on Gutsy Gibbon.

Occasionally NetworkManager shows it is connected to wireless while it is not really connected. Typically this happens when I use wireless at home (WEP encryption), then suspend, and when I wake it up at work (at work we have open wireless) it shows it is still connected to my home wireless access point. Same happens if I suspend at work and wake it up at home. This used to work on Dapper Drake.

I have written more about my system here: http://chandlerproject.org/Journal/UbuntuGutsyGibbonOnLatitudeD820

This is caused by Network Manager unable to de-associate correctly from the Network.
So I'm marking it as duplicate of bug 145683, please try the network-manager packages currently in the proposed repository and if they don't fix the bug for you, feel free to un-duplicate the bug.
