[gutsy] slow to detect/unable to connect to wireless network

Bug Description

Binary package hint: network-manager

my dell inspiron 640m laptop has two operating systems installed

1)windows xp
2)gutsy 7.10

-[after gutsy loads]it takes a long time before it can detect any wireless network.
-when gutsy detects the available wireless connections it cannot connect to my home wireless network
-sometimes it is unable to detect my wireless at all

but everytime i use windows i have no problem connecting at all ..
