Bug Description

Jaaa (JACK and ALSA Audio Analyser), is an audio signal generator and spectrum analyser designed to make accurate measurements
http://www.kokkinizita.net/linuxaudio/downloads/index.html

Currently there is no such package compiled for Ubuntu, not even in UbuntuStudio!
It provides the ability to adjust the Room Frequency Responce in the studio by using the "Pink Noise" Generator and the Frequency Spectrum Analyzer to set your Equalisation out of the speakers. Thus you can remove the audio bias which can vary between different studios / venues and get a good balanced sound.

It would be great if someone put together a "jack-utils" that included the likes of jaaa, japa, jace etc

well it works for me, BTW I also uploaded it to REVU :
http://revu.tauware.de/details.py?package=jaaa

And noticed I was also claimed in debian :
http://bugs.debian.org/435582

So I'll have to sync it once it's in ubuntu

That Debian bug is only a request for packaging (not an Intent to Package). If you're planning to push this jaaa into Debian, please consider retitling the bug to ITP: and reporting that you are working on it. Once -0ubuntu1 gets through REVU, it should be simple to bump to -1 (drop the changelog) and push to Debian. On the other hand, many people pursue REVU and Debian inclusion in parallel to get as many eyes as possible (although this is confusing when there is conflicting advice).

Hi,

Sorry I made a typo in my previous post :
  -And noticed I was
  +And noticed It was

And as said now it's set to ITP on debian :)

BTW now jaaa is pending at REVU :
 http://revu.tauware.de/details.py?package=jaaa

Now I'll try to reach the ubuntustudio guys to see if there is a policy regarding jack applications ...
