Bug Description

[Impact]
Documentation for netplan is misleading and may suggest that globbing is always possible in netplan config.

[Test case]
- Validate that documentation shipped with netplan points out that globbing is not supported in the NetworkManager renderer (see /usr/share/doc/netplan/netplan.html)

[Regression potential]
None, this is limited to documentation changes.

---

snapd creates a netplan configuration file which uses globs for ethernet interface names. Netplan currently does not support these as NetworkManager does not offer any possibility to specify globs in its connection files.

Right, this should at least be documented in the manpage. The NM renderer already produces an appropriate error message.

  * doc/example-config: Adjust "routes:" example.
    It does not make sense to make "routes:" a global thing, they should be
    tied to an interface so that the route is only set when the corresponding
    interface exists and is up, and the config is not split in two parts.
  * doc/netplan.md: Point out that NM does not support globbing (LP: #1631018)

  [ Mathieu Trudel-Lapierre ]
  * Fix coverage for src/netplan to be 100%, and fail if coverage falls below
    that mark again.
  * Add support for specifying routes.
