Is this symptom still reproducible in 8.10?

Yes this powernow-k8 annoyance hasn't gone away, and it's been left unfixed for so long I don't think you'll ever fix it. In over a month, I've seen fewer than 9 updates in Synaptic. I'm pretty sure by now development has gone downhill. I might go back to windows soon!

I get
powernow-k8: ignoring illegal change in lo freq table-4 to 0x0
 powernow-k8: transition frequency failed

(repeats endlessly)

ULV 1.2 GHz Turion Dual Core on a raon everun note. By the way I have the working firmware for the wifi on this notebook that you guys failed to include in your distro. It's hard as hell to find, maybe you want it? megamanv@gmail . com

Hi José. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue for you. Can you try with the latest Ubuntu release? Thanks in advance.
