Bug Description

I just installed Ubuntu 7.10 on my Dell Inspiron 5150 and everything worked, until it came to the wireless card. I installed the firmware for the BCM4309 wireless card using the restricted drivers wizard and connected to the wireless network just fine but when it came to browsing the web or downloading files it was really slow. It didn't disconnect but was just really slow. Any suggestions?

This appears to be a problem with broadcom drivers in general, I have a 4318 card, and had the same problem, I marked this bug as a duplicate of bug #212037, please see my comment on that report and continue further discussion on there if there any updates.
