Bug Description

since wifi config always times out (even though the wifi was working on boot (see Bug #1636421) i tried to plug in an ethernet cable, hit "Cancel" in the console-conf UI and get back to "Please press enter..."

that gets me to the start page of console-conf ... hitting enter again produces a multi-page python traceback. http://paste.ubuntu.com/23387727/ has a tail from the subiquity log from pluging in the cable to the traceback.

Ugh. I guess it's finding a stale lease file or something. probert needs to be way more defensive :(
