The following error message could be found while booting this Dell G7 with Disco LiveUSB (20190403)

Despite there is a such error message, the graphic looks OK.

This issue could be found on Bionic as well, the system can boot to the desktop with nouveau driver.

for Bionic, I can see that this issue occurs from 4.15.0-46.

4.15.0-45 does not have this issue.

There are two nouveau related patches added in 4.15.0-46
 - drm/nouveau: Use drm_connector_list_iter_* for iterating connectors
 - drm/nouveau: Avoid looping through fake MST connectors

This can be reproduced in the very beginning of Bionic 4.15.0-20-generic, please see the attachment for boot dmesg.
