I added a terminal background image and i just see a part of it.
I needed to go outside the application to resize it.

There should be also image manuplation sellections like stretched, tiled, scaled, centered. I am using xfce4-terminal instead of gnome-terminal which cause more libraries loaded and more memory used. gnome-terminal needs more attention...

I wrote a patch for this feature.

Tiled, Centered, Scaled, Scaled-Fill, Streched modes are available.
This patch can be applied on revision 3456.

I hope this helps.

I found a memory leak in my patch...

Here's a "fixed" version.
but still leaks, because libvte keep reference to the object.
For details, see: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=578493
we need to wait until libvte people fix it.

Also includes:
  fixed segfaults in gdk_pixbuf_scale()
  use proper fill color for the blank space.

My aplogies for the previous buggy patch.
