Bug Description

Binary package hint: brasero

brasero 0.7.1-1~gutsy1 does not save user settings
like last used drive and which plugins were enabled.
(Also IMHO there is not a good idea to turn md5sum plugins on by default
because it takes a lot of time to get the sums before burning)

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. The issue that you reported is one that should be reproducible with the live environment of the Desktop CD of the development release - Hardy Heron. It would help us greatly if you could test with it so we can work on getting it fixed in the next release of Ubuntu. You can find out more about the development release at http://www.ubuntu.com/testing/ . Thanks again and we appreciate your help.

I tried it with Hardy + lastest updates (brasero 0.7.1-3~ubuntu1)
the problem still exists and it is even worse. Settings of plugins on/off
are forgotten immediately after closing setting dialog, so now
it is impossible to burn data dvd without waiting half an hour to
completing checksum - all plugins are always on.
I think this should be really fixed for Hardy release.

or info isn't sufficient?

I have some information to better reproduce this problem:
If I do in Brasero:
  1) Open Edit -> Plugins
  2) Uncheck only *some* plugins
  3) close dialog
  4) open it again (Edit -> Plugins)
there would be correctly checked items exactly as I have set them,
but if I do:
  1) Open Edit -> Plugins
  2) Uncheck only *ALL* plugins
  3) close dialog
  4) open it again (Edit -> Plugins)
then there would be all plugins checked instead of unchecked.

Do you experience the same as this?

This is now marked as fixed also in downstream, is this correct?
