Bug Description

Binary package hint: pastebinit

I just released a new version of Pastebinit.
The new .tar.gz has been uploaded to the usual place (http://www.stgraber.org/download/projects/pastebin/) and the packaging updated.

Attached is the new .diff.gz, please review and upload to universe.

No need to assign to MOTU or tag with needs-packaging as it's already packaged.
MOTU will be notified by the Ubuntu sponsor for universe team.

Still want to say that the XB-Python-Version: ${python:Versions} is not used and that the ${python:Depends} dependency is also wrong.

This stuff is only used/created by python-central and python-support and none of them is used. Therefore, they should be removed.

"3.1 Programs using the default python
Programs that can run with any version of Python must begin with #!/usr/bin/python or #!/usr/bin/env python (the former is preferred). They must also specify a dependency on python, with a versioned dependency if necessary.

If the program needs the python module foo, it must depend on python-foo. "

Julian, thanks for the heads up. The packaging for Intrepid is essentially already obsolete.

The most uptodate packaging is stored in https://code.launchpad.net/~pastebinit-developers/pastebinit/debian

The new packaging as been done for Debian, so I guess we'll probably
just wait Debian gets it and ask for a sync.

It's in Debian now, could you check if it's safe to sync the package, and if so, turn this into a sync request?

Hi,

It's perfectly safe as the packaging has been done in a common bzr branch.
I'm currently waiting for it to actually reach Debian archives to
request the sync (rmadison and requestsync currently pretends it
doesn't exist :)).

that's because it's still in incoming.debian.org. Packages are processed twice a
day, I think at 8am/pm.

BTW, I love pastebinit!
