Why not update to the latest upstream version? It hasn't been updated in Debian for ages.

Hmmm, I'll ask Debian if there's a reason behind not updating it, and if there isn't I'll offer updating it for them.

This bug was fixed in the package kde-style-qtcurve - 0.59.3-1ubuntu1

  * Merge from debian unstable, remaining changes:
    - kubuntu_01_default_settings.diff and rules to apply
  * Dropped our version of build in !=srcdir since Debian does it.
