i'm not sure exactly what happened, sorry...
i had been playing nexuiz, i quit the game and started using pidgin. my system froze for ~20 seconds and i got the message that compiz.real crashed.

What appeared to be the same bug just happened again, but this time I have the debug symbols installed. See bug

for the full stacktrace etc.
