Bug Description
System:
Asus F8SN-D1 Laptop with a Geforce 9500m GS
Fresh install of Ubuntu Intrepid Alpha 6 AMD64
Steps to reproduce:
Open up Synaptic package manager (and authenticate,) so as to lock the Apt database.
Open up Jockey-GTK (hardware drivers GUI)
Chose to install the Nvidia 177 series driver (and authenticate.)
(Crash of jockey-gtk occurs.)
Comments:
This probably will occur if other package-dependent drivers are selected to be installed.
jockey-gtk should prompt to close synaptic and any other processes using the Apt database instead of crashing. I believe it did that in Ubuntu 8.04.
