Bug Description
Preferences are never saved with gufw 0.20.4-0ubuntu1 . Using the upstream deb, gufw 0.20.4 works as expected.
I removed /var/lib/gufw before testing. After installing gufw 0.20.4-0ubuntu1, there was still no /var/lib/gufw, and preferences were never saved.
If instead you install gufw 0.20.4 (upstream deb):
$ ls -l /var/lib/
total 24
-rw-r--r-- 1 hew hew 43 Oct 9 02:11 gufw.cfg
-rw-r--r-- 1 hew hew 1160 Oct 9 02:11 gufw.desktop
-rw-r--r-- 1 hew hew 43 Oct 9 02:11 programs.cfg
-rw-r--r-- 1 hew hew 54 Oct 9 02:11 services.cfg
-rw-r--r-- 1 hew hew 216 Oct 9 02:11 user6.rules_compare
-rw-r--r-- 1 hew hew 408 Oct 9 02:11 user.rules_compare
Preferences are then saved as expected.
