Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-do

This seems to be a problem with the localisation. Do stores the layout by it's name in gconf. So for example if you use the "glass frame" layout, the value in gconf for layout will be "glass frame". Now since the last update, localisations work and now the layout names get saved in the local language. In my case for example german. So instead of "glass frame" it now said "glass rahmen" in gconf.

The problem is that Do only recognises the English layout names, so when it saves a non English one, it just defaults back to the standard layout.

Oh, whoops. We suck at i18n, it seems. I'll whip up a patch.

This bug was fixed in the package gnome-do - 0.6.1.0-0ubuntu2

---------------
gnome-do (0.6.1.0-0ubuntu2) intrepid; urgency=low

  * debian/patches/05_fix_localised_theme_setting:
    + Use the index of the selected theme rather than text of the theme
      when setting the UI preference. The text is now correctly translated,
      so using the text no longer works (LP: #280719).
  * debian/patches/06_expand_homedir_in_open:
    + Expand '~' in strings for the Open action (LP: #280540).
