Bug Description

Binary package hint: screen

Add show encoding feature.
Allow user using "%e" in hardstatus to show current encoding.
Porting from FreeBSD.

Actually, Micah here works with upstream screen.

Micah, can you help mirror this feature request and bug to the upstream screen project?

I can rascov's patch to use screen's patch system and upload to Ubuntu.
