Gnome terminal has two options with the same hotkey in the edit menu. Both "Paste" and "Profile Preferences" share the letter "P". Previously, one could press "ALT+e" and then "P" to paste, now it is ambiguous and only selects between the two options.
Expected behavior: Paste contents of the clipboard buffer at current cursor position
Actual behavior: Selects either Paste or Profile Preferences
