Thanks. I added a task for the GNOME Do project, which is hosted on Launchpad anyway. I'll triage it and set it as wishlist for now until the gnome-do developers provide some feedback, but I'm not sure i agree with your request.

Why do you think the preferences should be resizable, and what benefits would it give you? Other Gnome preference capplets aren't resizable, so it would be inconsistent.

Changed in gnome-do:
importance: Undecided → Wishlist
status: New → Triaged

i did not notice other applets' preferences dialogs have the same problem.
i think all windows whatsoever should be resizeable unless for some reason resizing is impossible[0] or the window is only some kind of message-box-popup[1].

i wanted to get a better overview over the available plugins and instinctively tried to enlarge the window. that did not work and i was disappointed.

[0]e.g. game using non-gnome widget that do not resize
[1] but even there sometimes resizing is desirable to see the whole message/get each paragraph in one line/...
e.g. i really wished the "file transfers" dialog was enlargeable... it truncates paths... progress bars are short... it would not hurt to have it resizeable... and i have like 1680 pixels of space but it only uses like 300...

Preferences window is definitely resizeable in GNOME Do 0.8.

Thanks David. As this is fixed in 0.8, I'll change the Ubuntu task to Fix Committed too.
