I removed the build-dependency on dpatch, apparently left over from the previous Ubuntu version.
I've changed libelfg0-dev to libelf-dev in debian/control.in as well, which was the reason this went missing from the previous Ubuntu version despite being in the changelog.
I restored s390 to debian/control.in's list of architectures, which had unaccountably gone missing in your merge.
I removed the stray whitespace-diff junk from the end of the debian/changelog part of your diff.
