work-around is to add intrepid's multiverse repo where that package still is. //thanks to harrykaa.
Without it, users are unable to install vlc.
hello
got the same issue with vlc , mplayer and gstreamer0. 10-plugins- bad-multiverse,
it's in conflicts with libx264.65 instead of libx264.59
workaround only for vlc is to add mrpouit ppa's repos
http:// ppa.launchpad. net/mrpouit/ ppa/ubuntu jaunty main.
