Bug Description

Binary package hint: notification-daemon

Currently, notification-daemon has is built without sound support. notification-daemon can be built adding --enable-sound in ./configure . Available backend so far is gstreamer. I hope it can be included as an option? Or maybe just build-depend on it, since Ubuntu comes with gstreamer libraries by default anyways.

You have to set the gconf key /apps/notification-daemon/default_sound to enable sounds for all notifications. Otherwise, it can be utilized by D-Bus calls by using notification hints (refer: http://www.galago-project.org/specs/notification/0.9/x344.html)
