WPC54GS instead of WRT54GS

Bug Description

Ubuntu Dapper recognized my wifi PCI card WMP54GS as a PCMCIA card WPC54GS. I cannot use it anymore. It used to work with ndiswrapper so if there is not any driver yet for WMP54GS, it would be nice not to configure it with WPC54GS drivers and let ndiswrapper + windows inf files do the job.

Same here! This bug must be fixed if I'm to continue to use Ubuntu!
Ndiswrapper does recognize my drivers, and there are no errors anywhere. It even loads the drivers on startup. Somehow in the transition from version 5 to version 6 support for this card got messed up, because it works in Ubuntu 5.10!

Please attach output from "cardctl info" and "dmesg"

What do you mean when you say that it was recognized as a WPC54GS? Where did you see this? In dmesg? In the device manager?
