Bug Description

Binary package hint: screen-profiles

update-notifier-common was recently patched to ensure that /var/run/updates-available reflected the current state of updates available on the system after an apt-get upgrade operation.

The screen-profiles updates-available script caches this information the user's home directory, in case /var/run/updates-available is not present, or is out of date.

When /var/run/updates-available is present, and is newer than the local copy, it should be cached in the user's screen-profiles dot-directory, to persist across boots.

This bug was fixed in the package screen-profiles - 1.40-0ubuntu1

---------------
screen-profiles (1.40-0ubuntu1) jaunty; urgency=low

  * bin/updates-available: cache /var/run/updates-available locally, to
    persist across reboots, LP: #344993
  * profiles/logos/suse: added a simple SuSE green on white logo
