Bug Description

Binary package hint: screen-profiles

Not all script files have support for i18n.

I have tried to build the screen-profiles and it look like no .po or .mo file are generated

Since these strings are not so often seen in the GUI I don't think this is a blocking problem.

When we have time, we should look at i18n support from screen-profiles

Hi Adi-

Well, I've made a few attempts to get screen-proflies i18n compatible. I think I've added gettext calls in most of the right places. And I've uploaded the translation templates to Rosetta.

What I really, really, really need is a translations-build expert to help me get the rest of the way there...

This is not my expertise. But, I'm marking this Confirmed/High priority. I would love for someone with the expertise to bzr branch the code, fix the missing gettext pieces, and send me a merge proposal...

I have also approved the screen-profiles.pot files in Ubuntu Translations.

Previously the template was blocked, and this is why pot uploads were discarded. Next time you will upload the screen-profiles package, the new screen-profiles.pot file should be automaticaly approved and imported.

You can check the import queue here:
