Bug Description

Binary package hint: rhythmbox

Rhythmbox is no longer showing UPnP on the local net on maverick beta.

rhythmbox-plugin-coherence (0.13.1-0ubuntu1) and python-coherence (0.6.6.2-5) are both installed. I can see the coherence plugin in rhythmbox and it's activated.

The UPnP server is working (seeing it on other devices)

when trying to activate the plugin:

Thank you for your bug report, the issue is an upstream one and should be opened on bugzilla.gnome.org by somebody having access to a such configuration

this issue continues to exist in karmic alpha4. Furthermore, it appears that the 'python-coherence' package for the framework is either missing completely or is being renamed to 'coherence'. If so then neither rhythmbox nor totem knows about this, as the 'DLNA/UPnP sharing and control' plugin cannot be activated in neither of the two.

Using the tools from the gupnp-tools package I can see the various upnp devices on my net.

You may find a similar situation reported for Debian, and a proposed patch : http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=564641

Not sure though that it's the same issue.

rhythmbox still not showing upnp devices, neither on up-to-date karmic, nor on intrepid

The remote bug points to the debian bugtracker, not gnome, so I am reassigning it.
