ucf debconf conflict

working on it, will also send patch to debian.

Working on that, debian will have this patch with next upload, according to bugtracker.

For cacti this will be resolved with next merge from debian.

Just had this occur for phpmyadmin when I upgraded my server to Jaunty:
phpmyadmin:
  Installed: 4:3.1.2-1
  Candidate: 4:3.1.2-1
  Version table:
 *** 4:3.1.2-1 0
        500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com jaunty/universe Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

Fixed for cacti with the new version.

I got the same error message when I installed phpmyadmin.

I have the same problem when I try to install phpmyadmin. Has there been a patch yet? The error I get is below. I did a normal install and choose no password but when I try to login using username "root" and no password on the phpmyadmin login screen I get "Access denied". However what's funny is when I login to mysql manually using "mysql -u root" I can login successfully. Any help would be much appreciated.

Patch sent to debian for phpmyadmin, mgoldsO2, this specific bug has nothing to do with your issue. You could raise a question on the answer-tracker, https://answers.launchpad.net and someone there will help resolve your issue. My bet would be that phpmyadmin prevents logins with empty-passwords.

This is not a problem with PhpMyAdmin, but with the debian package.

This issue is already fixed in mldonkey 3.0.0-1. Version 3.0.0-2 currently in karmic include the fix.
The fix is very simple as you see in:

I see it's being fixed - but until then, is there a workaround for this problem?

becuase of this bug, I'm stuck with installing cacti at the moment :(

But, it's just a warning, not an error. Why did this make the installation process fail?

This was fixed in phpmyadmin 4:3.2.0.1-1 in Karmic.

For fix just change the file permissions for :
  /etc/phpmyadmin/config-db.php to 644

sudo chmod 0644 /etc/phpmyadmin/config-db.php
