Bug Description

Binary package hint: firefox

The "Ubuntu Wiki (community-edited website)" default bookmark points to http://www.ubuntulinux.org/wiki/FrontPage , which is a generic MoinMoin help page. It would be a better idea to lead users to the wiki home page at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Home , which contains more relevant information for someone discovering the Ubuntu Wiki for the first time via a default bookmark on the default browser.

We currently have a redirect in place that sends ubuntu.com/wiki/(.*) to wiki.ubuntu.com/$1 so I've created an RT to request that a special case for ubuntu.com/wiki/FrontPage be created and sent directly to wiki.ubuntu.com/. (for the record, ubuntulinux.org is an alias to ubuntu.com). cf RT#34028

OK, the redirect is now functioning so people get to the correct place from the bookmark menu. Instead of putting the redirect on www.ubuntu.com/wiki/FrontPage it was put on wiki.ubuntu.com
