Do you want to continue [Y/n]

after looking at the /debian/control in the source it has abrowser as a depend. I use abrowser most of the time on this box(no reason really) but back on topic.
It should beable to be used with abrowser and not try to remove it to install firefox. Other than that everything looks good but we should add support for 3.5 at the least.

Attaching /debian/control

This bug was fixed in the package firefoxnotify - 1.5.2-1ubuntu1

---------------
firefoxnotify (1.5.2-1ubuntu1) karmic; urgency=low

  * Merge from Debian unstable, remaining Ubuntu changes:
    - Rename iceweasel-notify binary package to firefox-notify.
    - Let firefox-notify depend on firefox or abrowser.
    - Update package description to mention Firefox.
    - Change extension install path to match Firefox location.
    - Provide README.source file to document quilt usage.
  * Adjust dependencies to be able to install firefox-notify with
    abrowser too, thanks John Vivirito (LP: #379688).

firefoxnotify (1.5.2-1) unstable; urgency=low

  * New upstream release.
  * Use new "--with quilt" feature.

firefoxnotify (1.5.1r2-1) unstable; urgency=low

  * Initial release (Closes: #526368).
