Bug Description

Binary package hint: grub2

One of the default GRUB 2 configuration files uses the update-grub_lib scripting library which has been replaced by grub-mkconfig_lib. This results in a warning message each time grub-mkconfig is run.

In Karmic, update-grub_lib is just a stub for the new library so this is an easy fix. I'll upload a patch that fixes the bug for me.

This is actually shipped by the memtest86+ package, not by grub2 itself.

affects: grub2 (Ubuntu) → memtest86+ (Ubuntu)

This bug was fixed in the package memtest86+ - 2.11-3ubuntu2

---------------
memtest86+ (2.11-3ubuntu2) karmic; urgency=low

  * Fix grub2 menu hook to use grub-mkconfig_lib rather than the deprecated
update-grub_lib (thanks, Alex Valavanis; LP: #384627).
  * Only run update-grub2 in postinst if /boot/grub/grub.cfg exists. This
makes installation in chroots work rather better.
